As for taking a chance, the game already used it. It failed. When you can't be original on certain game aspects, don't try.

If you can't be original don't try? That is a very sad and defeatist attitude. Everyone should continuously strive to try out new things. Be courageous to see what is the next boundary we can break. Or we could all go back to playing text adventure games?

Can't be that terrible? Yeah first AAA MMO in the history which went completely free for months while a pay to play model was announced. Even Wada-san saying it caused damage to the whole franchise. Not terrible you said? Half of the dev team changed few months after release. What is terrible then? You just have low expectations I think.

If the game still being alive and getting a full reboot is your definition of 'terrible', then what must you call games that actually shut down. Perhaps it is a language barrier with taru-speak. There are different grades of success. It is not just 'terrible' or 'OMG AWESOME'.
