Cannot log into EU alt.

I primarily play on NA servers (Crystal mostly) but have an alt on EU (Twintania specifically) that I cannot log into at all.

I've tried logging in as usual. Game Freezes on character select.

I moved the character to a different sever from the character select. The move was successful but upon attempting to log into the character, Game Freezes.

I've even sent the character to OCE with no issues but the second I attempt to log into the character, Game Freezes on character select.

I have another alt on the same data center but a different server, and can log into that one without issue. it's just the ONE character I cannot log into.

What do I need to do to be able to log into my EU alt?

We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. If this is only affecting one character, then it may be something to do with your locally-saved settings. Go to 'My Documents' > 'My Games' > 'Final Fantasy XIV' and delete that folder. If there are any corrupted files that are associated only with that character, this will get rid of them.

If this does not solve the issue, try updating your graphics card drivers and doing a clean boot. To do a clean boot simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.

If the issue persists, unfortunately, there is no manual way to communicate to the servers to reset the character, nor is there a way to manually log the character out. The issue may resolve itself with time, though this time can vary depending on multiple factors, such as the area the character was in when the issue happened. We recommend trying to log into that character at a later time, but if the problem persists after the troubleshooting, please submit a bug report within the official FINAL FANTASY XIV forums at: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/forum.php
