    Even getting a queue "pop" and entering into your instance is just the player being dragged from wherever they were at very fast speed, and then after the instance is over, the player is dragged back to their "starting spot". I learned of this one time, just before they went invisible to go to their duty roulette instance, I did the dote emote at a friend and the heart from that emote was trying to pursue an invisible player. It was over in Limsa on one of those outer rocks at the aethertyte plaza that look out over the ocean. The direction the dote-heart was going towards bulwark hall even though the friend was invisible.

    When Rescue was first introduced, the very fist use in my static was to kill a player, the second, third and rest of the night was pure carnage.

    We tried to find a real use for it but 90% of the time, it was too late and eventually was removed from our hot bars due to too many complaints (BLMs don’t leave circles, greedy melee uptime, etc).

    Yeah, my own legitimate use for it is a friend who can't do the misdirection mechanic (edit: spinning arrow forcing movement in the pointed direction) to save her life, so every fight that has it, I yoink her to me once I do it.

    One other example from M8S actually.

    We played with this melee DPS who had bad connection issues. When we reach phase 2 and you got to teleport between the platforms for the party stack. Or sometimes Twofold tempest... his d/c purgatory body be shifting from teleport to teleport unless I pulled him.

    I also used rescue in certain Eminent or Revolutionary reigns for the cleaves when one of my DPS partners was disoriented.

    So much like Electrope - my Rescue has many uses. (Sadly none of the runs where I did this ended up with a clear but I'd like to think they did in my mind)

    Like most healers though like majority of the time I don't use rescue and I respect the DPS to know what they are doing.

    I can't believe there are that many healers using Rescue like all the time, enough to necessitate any anger or its removal from the game. It is a useful utility spell.

    Honestly if there weren't so many body checks in the game I wouldn't care what a DPS did, but I sort of have to if their body not being in a spot where it needs to be ends in a wipe because I can't heal that, I can at least bring the DPS back to life if they die after the fact.
    Like yeah I want a DPS to pump so when we get to the end we don't see the dreaded 0.1% enrage but at the same time they call it "Greed" for a reason.

    Bemoaning about Rescue is like - how selfish can you possibly be? Reminds me of the Family Guy skit about the Asian Lady driver "Goodluck everybody else!" - that's the type of mentality it feels like.

    Greeding much like Rescue has it's use cases and has its fair share of accidents in both cases. I'm not going to tell a DPS not to Greed. If you died to Rescue - I'm sorry it was an accident.

    The amount of pulls I've done where DPS exploded trying to get just that last hit in because I trusted them and died for us to wipe to very next mechanic outweighs any amount of Rescue deaths any DPS has ever gotten.
