    Give Rescue a second charge.

    It's really good, most of the time it is gonna save you if the healer decides to use it correctly. But it's cooldown is a bit too long, so I propose having two charges instead of one.

    Just add a second one to the game, let people opt into being rescued from other alliances in 24 man raids too.

    I will give it a second chance if they give it a temporary invuln the moment it is used for the duration it is animating.

    I would also make it a teleport instead of a drag so you can really rescue players instead of watching them falling.

    Make it this useful and then the long cool down is justified. Until something like this is done, it won’t be on my hotbar. All it does for me is move the copse closer to rez.

    That might solve a lot of the complaints.
    There's nothing wrong with rescue.

    Though if I were to add anything it be to cost the DPS a whole GCD, and us healers get a mana free insta cast for having to waste a GCD saving a DPS.

    I wouldn't be surprised if there is something with this engine that makes it incredibly hard to implement, we already know it doesn't do well with Z-axis changes.
    Every single job's movement ability is just moving from one XY coordinate to another really really fast, not even the "teleports" like Aetherial Manipulation are actually teleporting you.

    i love how this thread exists alongside the one to remove it from the game
    it gives me joy

    honestly when used well. rescue is a saver in savage/extreme and other content.

    it can also be used poorly and humorously.

    perhaps for the safety of us all and to prevent temptation by bored healers keep it at one.

    i still recall being rescued on cooldown on a boss fight by a bored healer whilst i was on bard. it didnt affect my rotation other than when i was laughing (as im sure the healer knew) and i found it funny

    If they can't give us a charge, at least let us use it out of combat for more shenanigans, or even a way to yoink players to hard to reach areas, like some lookout points... That'd be a nice change... It won't be abused consistently... I swear...

    Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Shukuchi used to be a real teleport? I been told it used to be, and there is even a moment in the NIN questline(I believe in StB?) that tells you to use Shukuchi to cross a gap between rooftops, but attempting to do so will cause you fall to street level, and it is just not a big deal cuz you can just jump across, if that's correct, what it tells me is that gap closers being movement rather than teleport is a deliberate choice, likely to avoid cheese strats by abusing it, rather than a limitations of the system.

    Of course, "no teleport to avoid cheese" would also mean no teleporting Rescue, so eh.
