To those clucking smugly about some non-existent ego trifles; nah personally I'm fine with dying to the mechanic I haven't seen before actually, it if happens. The nap on the floor gives time to reflect on what exactly happened in relative peace, and whatever other novel ponderance finding its way in, like whether " ." was an allegory of the game's singularity. Bonus catching up on sleep debt too!

Haven't been targeted with the skill overly much though honestly. When it has happened it was the classic misclick, but fortunately I had whimsy on hand to make fun out of it. Never has been useful from my anecdotal standpoint. I do have a friend who likes to troll me with it, but so far ends up pratfalling every time trying. A test of reflexes indeed (great friend btw lmao, love him loads).

I think it has more to do with how it's rendered too. The slide along the floor while you lose control over your character. It triggers certain panic reflexes you know? The brain tends to associate forced movement with "bad" in most cases I would've thought. In that state you don't really take in what's happening, so it makes for a poor learning tool. In pvp, while it lasted, oh boy... felt like 90% of all those going on me was trolling. The ONE guy who used it interestingly was someone that would drag me to enemies out of my current reach to kill. That was a really cool way to apply it and much appreciated there. The other instances can go to hell. Glad it's been banished from there.

Tl;dr the skill could do with being implemented differently. As it is it's too disorientating and imo the rate of good vs bad outcomes swings towards bad. Game suffers with a great dearth of utility skills but... Rescue ain't no Cover.
