Rescue is great.

I can't even count the number of times I used it to safe a sprout from things like Amon's one-hit-kill and I sometimes even got a "ty" in chat.

I think that doing that has generally just resulted in the sprout gap closing or walking back in and dying. Phlegethon and Famfrit are other examples that immediately come to mind.
