2002 Error when trying to access ANY Data center

At some point since December 20th, while connected to my regular internet I have been unable to access any data centers, always getting the 2002 'The lobby server connection has encountered an error'.
Connecting through a phone hotspot allows me to access, so it's not some computer hardware or software issue.
This is probably an issue outside of the scope of technical support, but I figure there's no reason not to report it since it's a weird issue to not be able to access any data center.

    What Platform? (Steam/Windows/Mac etc.)
    Windows, official client
    Wired or WIFI connection?
    WIFI
How often does the issue occur?
Consistently any time I try to log in (usually between 8am and 8pm CST)
Does this happen to one character or multiple characters?
I can't even get to the character screen to select any character, regardless of data center
Is a VPN being used when this occurs?
    No
    What ISP Is being used?
    CenturyLink
What have you tried so far to alleviate the issue?
I have tried using a VPN, to no effect.
    Disabling fireware, to no effect.
Verifying/repairing the installation, with no issue indicated.
Switching data center, 2002 error before even seeing the character select screen.
The only thing that works is using a hotspot instead of my ISP.

Thank you for your reply Zairian_Zeirchele!

Please try the following troubleshooting as it may help resolve your connection issue.

Open the control panel of the PC and go to ‘Network and Internet’. Once there select ‘Internet Options’
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"
*Double check that your fire wall or antivirus program (Windows Defender, Avast, Norton, Malware Bytes, etc.) is not interfering with the game

    - Flush DNS: Within the "Command Prompt" of the device, please type the command "ipconfig /flushdns".
    - Reset TCP/IP: Also within the Command Prompt, type the command "netsh int ip reset" and then restart the computer.
    - Change local DNS: Please try changing the local DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request assistance with this step.

    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

If you have properly configured your router, and you are still experiencing these issues, our next suggestion is to bypass the router, and connect your console directly to your modem. Please ensure that you power down both the modem and the PC for at least five minutes before attempting to connect to FINAL FANTASY XIV.

If you continue to receive these same errors when you are connected directly to the modem, then the problem lies with your ISP. We would recommend contacting them and advising them that one or more of the ports previously provided to you are being blocked or filtered, and that you do need access on these ports.

Thank you again for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!
