    error code 3073 - "that character name cannot be used. please input another"

    i'm trying to name change one of my characters to the name "Sei Yuan", but i receive an error saying "That character name cannot be used. Please input another."

    checking lodestone, there are no characters on zalera that have this name and even if there was i would have received an error saying the name was in use, not that it "cannot be used". the name isn't inappropriate and it also is more than two letters.

    does anyone know what the issue is? how can i bypass this? the name is the name of a pre-existing oc of mine that i want to remake in ffxiv (not to mention that sei is a literal real life name, it's even a name in japanese)

    yeahhh i highly doubt there's going to be a character named 'sei yuan' in upcoming msq lol. i found that the name 'sei' is the issue, not 'yuan'. i tried various different last names and nothing worked, so it's not the full name itself that's the issue, it's the first name 'sei'. there's not a single character in lodestone that is named 'sei', so my theory is it's being flagged because it's one letter off from 'SE'. which is just ridiculous to me
