My Graphics Update Feedback - authenticity

the graphical updates so far has been nothing but amazing and the dev team did a great job overall, to the point my feedback feels like nitpicking, but i do think they're a missing parts of a whole piece.

my point mainly goes to visual effects and weather. here's my feedback list :

-Torches, sconces and more other fire props lack particle effects, and the fire bouncing light should shake a bit stronger than it is (ironically, example of this exists in Southern Thanalan, Forgotten Springs, front of the main hall, but could be improved a bit).

-Clouds have no dynamic movement, they do move (as a png) but its so slow its almost impossible to notice. clouds look good but should have their own (fluid/flow?) animation, not just a pic slapped in the background.

    - similar to clouds water terrain also lacks dynamic movement, seas, rivers and lakes look so flat.

    - Wet grounds like beaches, shores and after rain doesn't look pretty wet, or not wet enough.

    - Rain looks okay but my issue with it is that there's no variety in rain weather, by that i mean there's no Drizzle/drops of rain, only normal and heavy rain.

    - Fog update is nice but its one of many types of fog. there's no Upslope Fog (suitable for Dravanian Hinterlands for example), Frontal Fog, Steam Fog, Freezing Fog etc.

    - Snow animation i think looks too bland, could be having different sizes, animations and twirls at different paces instead of different sizes on the same loop animation.

now that feedback list is done, i'd like to suggest a couple things to add in the game. one of the games i play on the side is Wuthering Waves, which has a customization settings that include Filter Presets and Color Settings that allows the player to adjust Brightness, Saturation and Contrast. i think this would serve FF14 extremely well.

this is a yt video demonstrating what i mean :

second suggestion is adding a depth of field blur option, of course not insane amount of blur but one that works well with FF14 camera. affects close objects mainly and slightly approximate.

this pretty much sums up my post. i'm ignorant to how all these would work with FF14 but if its possible it would be so much appreciated.

We have an adjustable depth of field slider in the GPose menu, is this what you meant or you want things far away from you to be blurry during gameplay? While the one we have could definitely use some polish, I'd really only keep it for cutscenes and GPose personally. If it can be toggled and adjusted whatever floats your boat!

i'm aware of depth of field in gpose. i meant outside of gpose. of course its for personal preferences, its why i suggested as an option to toggle on and off. the best example i could provide is from BDO, but not similar or strong to that extent

There is Gamma and Color filters at least. Brightness, Saturation and Contrast can be changed in the general computer settings anyway.

No one would want to mess up their entire computer/TV's settings just for one game when it works fine for everything else, though.
XIV would benefit from this, especially those who suffer from eye strain.

there is indeed, i was messing around with it 2 hours ago but its not as effective as i would like it to be, even putting it to 0 still has nighttime too bright for me personally
