Inventory sort issues between PC and PS5.

I first submitted this through in game support, but they told me that it's working as intended. It's still a mess for me, and if it's working as intended, then I still need help fixing it on my end.

I play primarily on PC, and have my inventory sorted to my liking on there. Whenever I log into it on my PS5, my inventory is always muddled. If I sort it to my liking on PS5, then log into it on the PC, it's all muddled again, in the same way.

I don't remember this ever being an issue between PS3/PS4 and PC, only with the PS5 version.

It's a hassle for me playing on PS5, because anything new I get just fills the randomly placed empty spaces amongst all my items, then if I really want to deal with anything I want to sell or whatever, I need to log into the PC version so everything I want to keep is sorted properly, and I know exactly where and what everything new is.

Is there some resolution to this, or is this just the way it is now? It doesn't seem like something anyone would intend, making the inventory so muddled between systems.

If necessary, I have screenshot depicting the differences in item placements between systems.
