The worst WoW ever got was the launch of WoD. Even when they were DDOSed, they were never down that long or consistently. It's the 90k kicking everyone offline then 500-1500 people in queue problem. The copy and past question and asking for people won't solve this problem.
I play a few other MMO games and this is NEVER a problem in those games. SE needs to either jump down their NA hosting companies throat to get this fixed or change companies. This has been going on for weeks now, if not months.
It's complete incompetence at this point. Whoever is managing the data centers is either unqualified or inept at an operation this size. It feels like they're first resorting to black hole routing and just dumping all incoming connections to an attacked node, which is short-term effective, but a pretty awful way to treat paying subscribers and does nothing to mitigate the problem from happening again.
Combine that the systems in place do nothing except punish players when that happens (third time today I've had to go farm more tomestone mats because I got dc'd mid craft because the system doesn't just refund them for some reason), and this is completely inexcusable for a deveolper chargina monthly subscription fee. If my ISP did this, I'd have bill credits every time it happened.
