That... Explains so much. Wow.

I played CT when it was on content waaaaay back and played through ShB during that 5.25 gap of time. So my experience was ENTIRELY different.

Glancing your list initially read as "everything," as in required stuff, but it's clear players are trying to do the available content, MSQ or side quests, as intended but are marred by how dead Dynamis is to other data centers and give up. I really considered moving there for housing.

Ugh. The servers need to be rolled into the other centers last month. I am so sorry you amd other players have to deal with that.

Aye, and getting normal raids beyond Alexander to pop is also troublesome. It's why even if I DID want to do Eden directly (as opposed to being yanked into it by chance via roulettes recently), I was better off traveling elsewhere instead of ever trying to do them on Dynamis. Hell, I was making mad amounts of poetics/second chance points just escorting new players through Coils of Bahamut unsync, because they WANTED to see the story, but they were never going to pop on their own and even the roulette can't save them.

And alliance raids are their own pain point because you need a minimum of 3 people period, and by Ivalice you can't even safely get away with that few between the Lighthouse and especially Monastery where at least one fight has a hard healer requirement. I can only assume that Nier further makes unsync attempts harder with certain mechanics. (I hear there's one where players can literally wipe out one of the other alliances my accident/just to troll.)

If you want a house, my advice is to do what everyone else seems to do: Make a clone of your main over there, get someone to help you dump a bunch of gil on it, and then go get you a plot with zero other bids and then just keep the door unlocked for your main and friends to come visit. As long as you remember to log into that alt and do stuff in the house to avoid demolition, you can more or lose own a house by proxy of your own characters.

I mean, at this point Dynamis players are doing it to themselves. If the bulk of them actually stayed on their DC rather than camping out on Aether or elsewhere just to do dailies, people would be able to actually get their queues to pop. If they changed DC travel tomorrow to lock Travelers out of using Duty Roulette, Dynamis would probably actually see some activity.

The more likely possibility is that they re-roll or transfer to Primal. In fact that was often the sentiment a lot of them got while we sat around languishing in CT PFs; That they thought it would be quicker to start over and re-level back to 50 on Primal. Keep in mind that Dynamis has a huge XP boost active right now for new players where reaching 50+ can happen in a day if they're committed, and yet that's STILL not enough to keep a consistent number of level 50+ players going through mandatory Crystal Tower to keep its queues/party finders healthy.

Another issue is that some people ONLY come here for housing, and you can unlock access to it before you've even gotten a job crystal, so you end up with a lot of sub-50 alts that will never set foot inside Crystal Tower at all.

After 3 years of being forced to travel to Aether and later Primal to get pretty much ANYTHING done, MSQ or side content, I finally gave up and moved to Primal earlier this month. I put up with it for as long as I could, trying to get new players through things sync or unsync, but there's some content I just can not duo for them and I can't make 2, 6, 22, or 70 other people materialize out of thin air, and when it comes to my own progress, I had already taken the same lumps just trying to crawl my way out of Shadowbringers. If I was going to be forced to live on Primal anyway, I might as well make it official, because holding onto two houses (one of which belonged to a long dead FC) wasn't worth it anymore.

Xbox launch didn't help Dynamis, Dawntrail launch didn't help Dynamis, none of the major patches of content have helped Dynamis and Cosmic Exploration actually HURT it because it caused a bunch of our long-time gatherers and crafters to leave out of frustration at being "punished". Hell, it never had a chance to begin with because it wasn't seeded like Crystal was. The constant hemorrhaging of veteran players and the lack of new ones coming in has likely ensured that Dynamis will never truly grow, doubly so when Primal is RIGHT THERE still taking in anyone who is new or willing to move.
