Au'Ra Earrings

They've been pushing a lot of cosmetic focused earrings especially in the Moogle Tomestone events. Playing as an AuRa I see these and some of them are really cute but the way they put the earrings on us just feels insulting. Like between the side of the and our horns? Why can't they dangle from the end of the horn or have something like a chain wrapped around so the earring dangles more outward?

Other races get really good earring placements and look really good, I wish we just didn't get the crappy treatment.

Au Ra doesn't use an apostrophe.
But I do agree I think some earrings would look better at the end of the horns rather than like, near the fleshy bits.
Might cause a loss of hearing though! lol

I assume the position of the earrings are set per-model rather than per-face, so if that's a limitation then they would need to put the earrings in a position that is guaranteed to exist for all four horn shapes.

Hah! A big reason why I finally got comfy on a Miqo'te is because of how so many earrings are hidden by hair or horns on everyone else. Even Viera have them sit weirdly sometimes.

My au ra has little silver bands on the ends of her horns, that would be the perfect place to hook earrings. Though I'm sure some earrings would look pretty wild there.

They'd probably need some more tech to give us different possible positions for each face/horn type.

I've given up on my F aura alt's earrings since she had the F4 front horns, and I see nothing, esp if she has longer hair for ages like the hime haircut.

They are indeed set by race+gender, which is why vieras can't have true lop ears. They had to have a straight bit for the earrings.
I hope this is something they can consider for the character creator upgrades.

Or they could just, you know, get a coder to remove that limitation and instead define the earrings position separately for each face. But small indie company and all that

The placement of Viera earrings perplexes the hell out of me too. But limitations I guess.
In any case I've learned to just not care about earrings on my lizard anymore because of this. It really doesn't help that he has arguably the worst horn types for them too (or any kind of horn jewelry for that matter) On one hand, at least I don't have to worry about grinding for the big prize in the Mogtome events, but on the other, I would love a reason to collect them.
