    BLU leveling via Tail Screw?

I noticed recently that Tail Screw is actually effective against at least some of the Overworld mobs. I had tried it a while back but the enemy I tested against was immune, I figured that would be all Overworld enemies but apparently that's not the case.

Oddly enough, Tail Screw has been much more efficient in terms of kills/min even with its relatively low accuracy. The Wiki says 10% but honestly I've seen it to be closer to 25% accuracy in my experience.

Question is, is there a list or a reasonably consistent way to know what enemies are immune vs what enemies are not? Also yes I know about the Ultravibration technique but with the 2-minute recast on it, and the fact that Overworld mobs are often not close together, this seems better overall at least in some cases.

Enemies are not normally immune to Tail Screw. If they are immune, it is generally because they are higher level than you, or bosses (such as hunt or big FATE bosses). That said, it's rare for it to succeed so it can require spamming it a lot in many cases.

In order to level, you usually want to kill enemies higher level than yourself. Since Tail Screw does not work on higher level enemies, it's not useful unless you are willing to accept EXP loss. Enemies your level are generally far easier to kill with regular attacks, and may be more worthwhile using those anyway.

There are some big FATE bosses that are not immune to Tail Screw, although it is rare. Obviously, it is scenarios where SE forgot to give them full boss status, despite being a boss, or where things like stun and silence were an intended part of the fight and allowing these required easing the immunity restrictions.

I have to disagree though, in the case of fighting enemies same level. Using standard attacks (I was spamming mostly Choco Meteor alongside some burst damage spells), I found it quite long to kill each enemy, upward of 15 attacks each enemy. Tail Screw, yes is very luck driven so an occasional enemy might take 20 attempts but more often than not I'd see enemies die within 5 attempts. That's why I'm saying the 10% that the Wiki suggests seems lower than it actually is at least in my own experience today.

As for killing enemies higher level, that's a good strategy when you're in the first half of each 10-level sprint (so example between 70 and 75) because the enemies are from the same expansion but trying to kill, for example level 83s when you're 78 is counterproductive because all enemies have a large boost in HP and damage in the newer expansion content, since it's expecting upgraded gear. I personally tried going up against level 72's when I was around 67 and the damage to HP ratio was abysmal, not to mention they were hitting very hard since I was only sitting in level 60 Shire gear.

Anyway I looked around a bit more and it seems that mostly it's the Undead enemies, Machines, or the Sprites that are immune to "instant death" type attacks, I must have just been unlucky when I tested it out last time. Actually I think I was in a mech-heavy area now that I think of it. Regardless I'm gonna see how this continues to go, making sure to go up against enemies equal to my own level as I go from 70-80

Fighting enemies your own level is a good idea to get the most out of the attacks which function like Tail Screw. I did this for levels 70-80.
As a tip, you can read the grey text that appears when your Tail Screw fails to find out if the enemy is immune or not. I can't remember if it specifically says "immune" or just "fully resisted", but that's the easiest way to find out. If the enemy is not immune, you can also use Missile (higher chance to reduce enemy HP by half), or even Ultravibration (instant death on enemies affected by Deep Freeze, guaranteed hit AoE).

Most regular overworld enemies in my experience will not have instant death resistance, so it was very easy going through the Shadowbringers areas and shooting missiles at anything I saw. Have a good selection of Primal OGCDs and you'll make quick work of them all.

The gold standard for BLU leveling is to simply use the clionid and larva mobs in the tempest: aggro larva, let a clionid eat it, get showered in exp. You can do this pretty much from level 1 if you're a bit careful, and get to level 80 in less than an hour iirc. (do set your home to ondo cups tho, because you are going to die a few times)

However it is recommended to get flying sardine from apkallus in bloodshore before you outlevel them so much that any attack one shots them (a problem that you can avoid with other mobs because you can aggro them without killing them with flying sardine)

The 'outlevel to the point you oneshot everything' problem isn't a problem because you can always just autoattack the enemy for minimal damage

No. Just go and level via Cyonid mobs + larva. Easiest way to run to level 80. Equip earrings and other things that boost xp + food. Literally there's no better way than this.
