Gear pieces / No sell, no desynth, no sold... Huh?

Hello All

On my alt, upon creation, I got several gears as gift per mail.

Problem: They can't be sold, can't be desynth and can't be discarded either!

Question: How to get rid of those? Am I forced to put them as glamour so I can empty slots? Or is there maybe another alternative?

Could you tell us the exact names of the gear pieces you have? I have a feeling you're talking about Veteran Rewards. They're merely cosmetic and you can pop them straight into your Armoire at the inn. I had no idea the game wouldn't let you get rid of them lol, but it makes sense since they're unique and you will only be given this stuff once per character.

Also, if you've purchased the collector's editions of the game or any of the expansions (or gained any preorder bonuses, or redeemed bonus items from merchandise like soundtrack albums), the bonus items for those are also account based so you will gain a new set on each new character you create as soon as you start.

I'm on line now, so I can check: one example is "Wild Rose Bandana" (can't be sold, can't be desynth, can't be discarded), another one is "Tantalus Vest".

I will follow your info and try to put them in armoury at the inn.

The game has plenty of no sell and no desynth gear. Anything you can get for free(think artifact gear from ShB or later where its just on a story vendor) doesnt allow for either sale or desynth so you cant just print free money. They also block the current tier of non-crafted gear(so tome gear, alliance gear, raid gear), my guess is this is to prevent people from accidently getting rid of something they really need. The only no discard gear i know of is from veteran campaigns/collectors editions bonuses/pre-order bonuses and some of the cash shop things. And aside from the cash shop(i have no knowledge of those items as i have none), all of them should go into the armoire and thus take no inventory space and not count against your glam dresser.

You can discard them or even have duplicates, and they can all be stored in the Armoire as of somewhat recently.


Funny enough, the GM that was helping me move a duplicate Seigneur's set from one alt to another (I don't know how I ended up with two? One was gifted to me, I guess then I forgot I had it on that particular character and bought another one lmao) asked me to throw the duplicate away and let them know after it was done! I guess it saves them work if I remove it from my inventory myself, but I thought it was a funny way to handle it. I then received the items in the correct character's mail.
