Popping arcane crest should apply mark of death to all enemies in the same radius that the regen is applied.

Main purpose is to address some people's trouble keeping the debuff up. It's easier to keep the debuff this way but it still requires thought In timing your shield

Honeslty the debuff still beign on reaper only is kind of weird IMO. I forget 99% of the time to reapply it after the first 2 times. I dont htink about reapplying it when i have so many damage up buffs already on me. or make it so using oblatio or w/e the 92 skill is. automatically applies the full 60 seconds
A happy family between a viera, a goddess and a child

Mark of death is just a rework of dragoon's old Heavy Thrust skill. a 30 cd damage buff that needed to be manually refreshed with a gcd outside the normal combo. I think reaper's is much better because you get a ton of gauge when marking and killing groups of enemies. perhaps they could make the debuff icon shine and blink as the timer runs low. putting it on oblatio would be cool. I wonder if putting it on soul slice/scythe would make more sense since those have a 30s cd anyway and are hard to forget to use.

with any buff/debuff timer that needs tracking I really wish they'd display the remaining time on the hotbar button like recast timers, using the current target's remaining time in this case.
Though I'd honestly be surprised if the debuff survives into 8.0 (or even 7.5). There's a few folks in the JP thread that's constantly been begging for it's removal since Endwalker.

Goodness, do we really need to get rid of it? its super thematic and fun to use in dungeons. They just need to make the single target reapplication more brainless so people dont forget. Honestly what if instead of a debuff its a buff on the reaper we can see a timer for on the gauge. make the buff give a giant invisible circle to the reaper that will give the reaper 10 gauge per enemy killed inside the circle?!
