If it's relegated to a fun side quest series, and the characters only pop in the MSQ here and there, that would mean the devs could give us those extra romantic events without it potentially damaging or severely limiting the main story or becoming too complex with having to write so many extra layers of text or cutscenes if you're hitched with a fellow Scion or former leader character.

But honestly I would expect small things like, if you hook up with Urianger, you find him hanging in your inn rooms with a few items scattered around that are his stuff. Like a telescope, and some astronomy charts. He'd have a few bits of dialogue reflecting current events if he's found there. When you hop in bed he climbs in, too, and when you wake up he gets out with you.

That kind of stuff. The kind of thing you usually start seeing in the sim games that have relationships.
I would be really grateful if they would add just small flavors, like you said. An NPC appearing in the inn sounds fun, too.
They don't even need to pay for voice acting in that way lol.

I feel a lack of connection between Wol as a player and NPCs. I don't feel like I'm actually living in the world among the NPCs immersively.
So I'd love to see something for RP players or casuals like me, as well as for raiders.

As much as I want a romance system, the majority of players might want improvement in the core content like raiding, writing, or multiplayer rather than a big new addition.

So I think if the addition is easy to implement and helps expand the player base, it might be fine.
Like not something changing the game, but a tiny improvement of the immersion or RP, which are already XIV's main factors.

Since the point of playing RPGs is to live another person's life by taking the role of someone, whoever you want to be, I think it's not unnatural to want to have a relationship with someone in the game. That's why I love games.

It's the same thing that you say to crafters about why you don't cook in your real life, lol.
I want to do it in FFXIV as WoL, but I hate doing it in real life as me.
