I had a small house for well over two years, in that time frame I have missed very few opportunities to attempt to relocate to a medium. Never winning, even when having as good of odds as 1/7 occasionally. I finally realized what my problem may have been. See, I used open housing plot trackers online to tell me which plots were available and how many bids they each had. Just this round, I decided to not only check the trackers, but check the wards themselves MYSELF and lo' and behold, a plot was missed by ALL of the housing trackers. 0 bids with only a couple hours left, bid and BAM got it, finally. My advice is that if you are ONLY relying on outside websites, maybe you should also look yourself, because they apparently gloss over open plots.

Praying that if you are like me, you get your dream plot soon.

Well it requires a plugin that someone is running to be able to track it, so if they never visit the ward, it never gets located. I agree that you need to use your eyeballs at the aetheryte to check the housing plots. I'm on the prowl at the moment to relocate, but became slim picking this week, and there's next to nothing available coming up. But, there's a small right next door to me that's gone untouched for two weeks, which is absolutely unheard of with housing, and 4 plots are open in my subdivision.

Or you could just have 24 alt characters make a bid on the behalf of an FC. I find that's a particularly consistent method to getting meds and large when I need them.

I was under the impression that the community frowns upon people creating "free companies" using only alts just to snag housing that's why I never tried that route. Maybe not, whatever works for you. Then again, the community seems to frown upon you for simply the race of character you choose to play in some circles. "Why a midlander?" because I felt like it? Lol

Why are you holding yourself to random strangers morality? They don't care about you, so why are you holding yourself to their morals? People frown at people for wanting to RP as a lalafell. Some people are forced to race change outta lalafells if they want to RP because of the community enforced stigma.

If you wanna make a alt to buy that FC house go for it, because if they actually wanted it. They wouldnt have thought twice about doing it.

I just in the past have tried not to stir up an already finicky community to draw drama. I have found it becoming more and more (it doesn't matter what you do or don't do, SOMEONE won't like it) as time goes on though. You are probably right that I shouldn't care.

They do but it's not worth the effort at this point. The devs could easily nip it in the bud and force said players to pick a house and FC and the others will be given away, but if they don't do that then it's none of my concern.

This is the way! I always check them manually myself. The only outside thing I rely on is a Discord server that prepares events that mark the bidding/results period so I can easily add them to my phone's calendar. But if I didn't have that I'd just do it manually too.
