This was apparently Yoshi P's answer when asked why we can't hide them. If it was some joke because somehow it's impossible to hide it due to spaghetti code then sure. But if it was a joke said in order to be dismissive to a serious question of people wanting their glamour to look good then I would find that very annoying and hope Yoshi P stops being stubborn. He already lost against feedback regarding job restricted glamour so he might as well stop being persistent here too.

It's the latter. He was also dismissive of people who wanted time/weather controls in gpose and said they should wait (read: waste precious time) for the perfect weather and time conditions to take their photos. Then he goes on to say XIV "values people's time" with a straight face.

I do remember the old lunch boxes of love joke. It's why I pointed to the NPCs in dawntrail. Clearly, they found a way to hide the boxes for NPCs so I'm hoping we can be given the option to hide it ourselves at some point.

As for me personally I'm just not a fan of the big bulky thing being on my character's hip. If it was on her lower back just above where a tail would be to avoid clipping into one. I'd still want to hide it, but it would bother me less.

I wouldn't mind it at all if it had variants that matched the actual guns design, but that ship has sailed. I've mostly just used guns that look alright with it.

I sure wish they would have used that reasoning to justify an off-hand tackle box I been begging for since ARR for my fisher to keep baits and lures and whatnot in. :sobs:

I liked the ‘lunchbox’ lmao but that’s just me.

Having a /visor like function to hide it wouldn’t hurt anything except maybe their oh so limited funding.

it's probably some spaghetti code where the lunchbox isn't a separate object, but part of each weapon's file or something stupid.
