Removing the MCH Toolbox.

With the update to glamour in 7.4 I kind of wanted to bring up an old request a good number of players myself included had.

Having an option to hide the toolbox when playing as a Machinist.

The toolbox mostly stays the same with only very small changes between some guns.
Leading to it not being very popular as it can ruin the look of some glams.

So, I don't think I'm the only one that has noticed an increase in NPC's using guns without needing a toolbox. From the Cowboys with rubber bullets, Robots that are most likely just NPCs dressed in fending gear from vanguard and can't forget Oblivion's members.

I hope we can have access to the option to hide the toolbox.

Or give Machinists really good buffs.

I still don't really understand why Auto Crossbow doesn't reduce the recast time for Double Check and Checkmate.

Agree. I'd also like themed boxes that match the weapon. The gun changes but the box doesn't, and it makes it especially bad on undyable weapons.

And since you mentioned Auto Crossbow, I'd also add that there's no reason for Automaton Queen to have such an absurdly long summon time. We really don't need the full animation, just let it drop in and get to work.

Agreed, I'd either like the toolbox to start matching the weapon or I'd like the option to hide only the toolbox.

I'm imagining how awesome it would be, to have a frosty toolbox to match the frosty shiva gun I have glammed on. ^_^

I'll never understand why they decided to give AST slightly different card sleeve designs for every weapon but an identical tool box for MCH no matter their gun. I always assumed the reason we couldn't hide it was something to do with the lack of it being an off-hand weapon slot but now that they've implemented a similar option to hide Viera ears with certain hats, I don't see why they can't finally do this for us MCH players. Either that or they know 99% of MCHs will turn it off forever.

I remember when I had a crush on MCH but I eventually stopped playing it because the toolbox clipped with my arm and I couldn't stand it anymore. I'd definitely play this job more if I could hide that ugly box.
(Same goes for Astro's awkwardly long card deck or whatever you call that monstorsity).

Yes, please. This is long overdue and should be a priority, considering the job was released many years ago in Heavensward. It's likely not hard to implement as well.

As a Vanguard glam enjoyer I would also like an Emperor's New Aetherotransformer or somesuch. I know Yoshi P said our lunchboxes are packed with love, but we could also use some QoL (Quality of Love) improvements.

Wasn't there a gun in Endwalker that mistakenly didn't have the box at first and everyone was happy?

I wish we could hide it or have it match better with the weapon.

This was apparently Yoshi P's answer when asked why we can't hide them. If it was some joke because somehow it's impossible to hide it due to spaghetti code then sure. But if it was a joke said in order to be dismissive to a serious question of people wanting their glamour to look good then I would find that very annoying and hope Yoshi P stops being stubborn. He already lost against feedback regarding job restricted glamour so he might as well stop being persistent here too.
