I don't think your point of view and the OP's are mutually exclusive. PT is good content and probably the best so far in DT (since there is almost no competition but credit where credit is due), but it doesn't change the fact that it could be made better and more than just a reskin. You said it yourself, there is a lot of room for more roguelite mechanics, random quests, objectives, etc, which deep dungeon still lacks somewhat.

Endless possibilities and funny stuff they could do with a little creativity.
