PT has been the best piece of content they've added in Dawntrail for myself, so I completely disagree with the subject.

I do wish they'd add more to it, hard mode, roguelike mechanics, random quests, objectives, there's a ton of room to really make some fun content with REPLAYABILITY, something FFXIV sorely lacks.

It’s the midcore content we have been missing. I am hoping that the new variant dungeons also work as well or better than PT.

I enjoyed Pilgrims, but I think they could take more risks though. A rogue-like mode has the potential very fun if it was more truly random and you are able to become OP, or be placed in more ridiculous situations. I just feel like deep dungeon has too many guard rails on it and plays it too safe. For future renditions of this content they should make items and equipment you can pick up instead of just pomanders and make them have wacky effects to them, this alone could have so much replayability to it.

Like imagine if you could pick up a weapon that halfs your gcd, a helmet that makes you reflect magic damage by a % chance, a chest plate that makes all damage you take happen as DoT instead of at once, or boots that give you float status, making you immune to earth damage. Endless possibilities and funny stuff they could do with a little creativity.

I don't think your point of view and the OP's are mutually exclusive. PT is good content and probably the best so far in DT (since there is almost no competition but credit where credit is due), but it doesn't change the fact that it could be made better and more than just a reskin. You said it yourself, there is a lot of room for more roguelite mechanics, random quests, objectives, etc, which deep dungeon still lacks somewhat.

You cleared easily because PT rewards so many silver chests with Barklam and other useful things right when you need them. Then they offer candelabras + 90+ floors are a complete joke and speed-run if you have most of pomanders. 99 floor is a boss as well. On top of that, you also can never have "no abilities" debuff which makes this deep dungeon extremely easy. I don't mind all of this but it creates an environment where I never feel scared that I'd run out of time. My another issue is that sand floors from 51-80 are arguably the worst floors with most dangerous mobs in entire deep dungeon. Then you get 81-90+ that are extremely easy ???, kinda no point.

Also you barely use serenity unlike other deep dungeons where it was gg wp go next if you didn't have it, specially because of "no abilities" debuff. Now it's useless to have as most that come are gloom or damage down which are easy to deal with.
