What do you think the chances are of it winning either category this year?

My outline for a Chemist healer: https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/513527-Healer-Concept-Draft-Chemist

It won it for a few years running from what I recall, then it suddenly didn't.
It obviously got these awards previously because of how cohesive the community is, particularly as an MMORPG. It's very easy for us to send things viral amongst eachother via twitter and discord. All it takes is someone to send the vote link in every space they can and it just goes everywhere and gets echoed into FC discords. Most games are not as cohesive as that due to being single player games, or are multiplayer but with small server caps and thus have more isolated and separate communities, compared with the large world and cross-world communities that we actually have.
And what changed that they didn't get them is obviously the community's overall sentiment recently.

Those links give me a 404 error just fyi
But also .. Best Community Support? naw O.o I tried sending a ticket once ... I'll never waste my time trying that again. I'm convinced their "support" is actually AI bots. They offer no support whatsover in my own experiences at least.
edit: now that I've actually read the description it's even more of a "no" from me at least, I mean look at how poorly they handled keeping the community appraised of the drop issues during what we were told was DDOS attacks ..
As for "Best Ongoing", I'm not entirely sure what that means to be honest. Maybe? O.o I mean save for the flaws and issues, the overall game is fun for me.
edit: again now that I know what the definition is, I mean sure ... given who they're going up against XD. Honestly I think Fortnite will win out though, I personally like Dawntrail's content but a lot of people certainly don't.

Weird, they work for me...
Replacing CS with AI seems to be a running theme in the MMO space. But also .. Best Community Support? naw O.o I tried sending a ticket once ... I'll never waste my time trying that again. I believe 'best ongoing' is shorthand for 'best live service game'. Fortnite, Helldivers, Marvel Rivals, and No Man's Sky are sharing the same category.

Edited my original response now that the links worked finally (I had to retry them many times, seems the site is just slow/iffy). Thanks for the clarify

I voted for these awards every single year in the hope that people saw XIV as a continually supported game.
This year I won't be voting for them.
It doesn't deserve the award like it did in previous years.

I hope the devs are listening. We need the devs to please listen.
It actually is one of the best Live Service titles right now for those aspects and for most it's not even a close contest.
The industry is in a really poor place right now.
Community Support is a vague and useless category, just call it best live service game
XIV shouldnt be included in either best community support or best live service anyway

Considering it's competitors in the space and the other games listed, Final Fantasy XIV is still far and ahead of all of them by a country mile.
Even if the "community sentiment" right now isn't the best.

No Man's Sky for best ongoing.
No Man's Sky or Baldur's Gate 3 for best community support.
FFXIV doesn't deserve either one of those awards.
