Not only is that a wild exaggeration, you just described what PvP is.
"There's no third team to help me win!" That's what I hear every time this subject comes up.

You're forgetting one little but crucial thing: 1v1 serious modes like CC don't have snowballing mechanics like BH or SH. RW also adds mercenaries, the train supplies, etc - some may remember why securing one of the potions mid game in Feast was almost a secured victory.
In CC on the other hand there is a snowball effect from staggered deaths and LB gen, but also a defender's advantage the closer it moves to the losing team's spawn to balance it out. Nothing else.
I'd be totally up to remove BH and SH and whatnot, but at least for BH it's also there for a very valid reason: to force teams to pvp and put the emphasis on winning through killing. In order to remove BH entirely from the mode, we'd probably need to dramatically increase the score earned for tactical kills, at the very least, in comparison to objectives.
I'm not forgetting anything. Remove it then. FL first came out without battle high and it was great. You're forgetting one little but crucial thing: 1v1 serious modes like CC don't have snowballing mechanics like BH or SH. Frontlines is a 1v1v1 gamemode. Maybe they should remake and expand upon Rival Wings? That's the 1v1 gamemode. And well, you got CC.
That's what's happening now, only it's 2-sided stomp against 1 team. At least a 1-sided stomp is done and over with instead of being dragged out over the course of 20 mins.
3 teams is unfortunately most ideal. As others have said, if it's 1v1, this would lead to people on the losing team giving up and afk'ing too fast once they realized it would be an "impossible" win. If there are instead 3 teams however, then its possible for any team to surge back ahead via dominating one of the other two still, or even in some cases as I've witnessed myself multiple times, letting anger get the best of the other teams and winning via abruptly focusing on the objectives instead. If its 1v1, everyone is too focused on exactly how to win, right? Not much room for mistakes. 1v2's though leads to a LOT of confusion, and THAT confusion is what makes anyone being able to win possible. "Why is yellow simping for red??" "blue is throwing" "red only fights us lol" All by design. A battle of unhinged unpredictable behavior of 3 different teams of sweaty highly agitated people who will do anything-ANYTHING to get that match over with, and win. Inflicted chaos, in a situation you would think would be so straight forward and easy. Anything but.

Because of the way the maps are if they wanted to prolong games that a team is getting stomped in 1vs1 remove the rng, reduce travel speed, and remove BH. Then the system is helping the bad team. If the games are balanced around ten min max and you get a bad group of players versus a veteran group you are looking at 4 or 5 mins max. Oh no I wasted 4 whole minutes not a big deal.
It wouldn't improve anything about frontline. The gameplay would still be "be wherever the zerg is and mash buttons".

All games are mash buttons. But the zerg was way less before movement increase. Because you had to spread out and do objectives and couldn't reach others objectives. SE likes the zerg because now no matter where you are on the map you can reach an objective.
