Suggestion: Tomestones For Ultimate Weapons

Seeing as how we can buy relics with tomestones I think we should be able to buy ultimate weapons with them too. Going off of recent relics as an example I suggest 6,000 poetics for one legacy ultimate weapon and 6,000 uncapped tomes for a current one. The developers seem to deem that a meaty enough grind that it doesn't devalue anybodys achievement. I believe this will increase the total happiness among the playerbase.

I definitely dont expect them to do that.

Ultimates are still being performed, even outdated ones, and are still part of the high end duty list (unlike savages, which are almost obsolete the moment the next tier is out).

If they would kill that, they essentialy remove the fights that are 'a true test of skill' to never ever being played again. If they would make its reward useless, no one is going to bother anymore going for its reward. The only ones going for it are those who target for 'worlds first', or want the challenge. But then its going to die even faster than DT caused damage to ffxiv's reputation.

If they would make them easier to obtain, the only method i can see them do is using the store. And even that is still a bad idea (as it represents something very close to a pay-to-win concept then).
