Dawntrail Custom Deliveries

So, to get to the point: Is Cosmic Exploration supposed to supplant Custom Deliveries as content for Dawntrail?

Since Stormblood, we have received a new Custom Delivery NPC on the X.1, X.3, and X.5 patch series. This has held true for every expansion up until Dawntrail, in which we received Nitowikwe in 7.1, and nothing for 7.3. With the live letter for 7.4, we have not received any information about the missing Custom Delivery, or any further additions for this content type.

I do not recall Yoshi P addressing this at all, nor him being asked about it by the community thus far. Should we consider this feature abandoned for Dawntrail moving forward?

Okay but that's basically Tribal Quests too. What's interesting about both pieces of content is seeing how their stories evolve and how it upgrades the areas around them and ties into the greater narrative. Cosmic Exploration is wholly removed from the expansion's narrative and so far has been nothing but Endwalker callbacks, to the point where the quest intro and complete themes are even EWs.

Cosmic came out in in a X.2 patch, it was never going to be a X.0 feature. The point is, however, that it's not narratively part of Dawntrail's story or expansion and doesn't even pretend to be. All the side quest NPCs you meet are from EW. The quest music for it is from EW, and you only have to complete 6.0 to access it. At the same time, we're still missing one of our routine Custom Delivery NPCs without any message from the dev team about if the content has been sunset or not.

Why should it pretend it? Ishgard restoration also released with 5.x and wasnt part of heavensward.

Cosmic Exploration can be started the moment you complete Endwalker, the final 6.0 quest, and is considered an Endwalker quest. Similarly, Ishgardian Restoration is accessible upon completing Litany of Peace, the final 3.3 quest, and plays the Heavensward quest theme because it's considered a Heavensward quest even though it was released in Shadowbringers.

That is entirely doable since food to someone behind the scenes in FFXIV right now is the equivalent of Xal'atath's feet to someone behind the scenes in WoW. It's gotten to the point where all this food/eating, and the way these characters act around food and while eating, is just super creepy. Every time I see a food scene I just physically cringe from the sheer amount of ick it gives.
