They apologize in every Recovery status update they send out. They apologize for downtime for a patch...

You basically asked the person putting hamburgers in your drive-through bag about corporate policy. Of course you got a canned response.
Not that this isn't genuinely frustrating, but you really can't expect the people answering support tickets to have anything approaching an answer for you on that subject. It's something that, if they decide to compensate, the low-level support people will find out about exactly the same time we do.

That's the whole point I was trying to make though, I genuinely don't think it's people at all anymore. I think it's an AI (and a bad AI at that) XD I mean look at the response I got to my last message I sent them. It's so far off base it can't even fall into the category of "maybe they're just a human drone using whatever copy-paste response they can find", I know this is support most games offer but I mean c'mon I outright called it out for being a bot and this was the best it could do.
Anyway it doesn't matter, I complain in tickets, we all complain here in the forum, it seems like it'll have no effect whatsoever and so we're all just here venting for the sake of venting. For what it's worth, I personally worked as CS for a mobile gaming company for a year, and yes there were tons of copy-pasta responses at the ready but I at least had the ability to (and often did) write personalized responses to tickets when it warranted. I was a human reading what the players wrote, and yes when it was appropriate I sent pasta but when it was not, I'd actually do my job and take 2 minutes to type out a reasponse like a human does. Seems SE's AI bot that's doing CS doesn't have that ability O.o

But then I want Square to only compensate you for the time you actually were not able to play because of these DDoS attacks. Enjoy your 2 dollars.

Assuming tonight's maintenance at least stops the outages for a while I'd find this acceptable for this case, not trying to be unreasonable or anything but something really needs to be offered on their side.
edit: and at least for me, it's got nothing to do with money and more to do with being a decent and responsible service provider

I don't normally go on the forums and reply to threads. But I'm making an exception here. Compensate us SE. This is RIDICULOUS.
