Square Enix really needs to address this issue. Not with their copy/paste "We are aware of the ddoss" but an actual explanation of why its happening, and maybe put together a plan to improve the servers. $15/m for this is just unacceptable. Do better.

Legally, they probably can't, because then they'd be tipping off whose doing it before the perp gets caught.

I agree with you but I'd rather have vague update of "We're looking into it" rather than week long silence. At least then I can placebo my stupid brain into thinking there is hope.

SE are cheap and are cutting cost pretty much everywhere they can. It's very unlikely that they will do anything about it and start to invest into at least some kind of security. Sure it could still happen again but rarely enough to not be an inconvenience to their players instead of, you know, having their servers DDoSed into oblivion every other day.
