I don't need the game or its content to be totally reinvented, I just want even small differences between things rather than the rigid formula that everything has been following.

Dungeons can still be dungeons, but why can't they have a different number of bosses? Or items to find and collect? Secret rooms? Traps to avoid? Puzzles? Parts that require parkour to traverse to the next area? An underwater tunnel you have to swim through? Have some fun with it! It's as if they've lost the creativity they showed back in ARR, or perhaps they're just restraining themselves. Either way, there's little point releasing more dungeons if they're all the same with different skins.

Prefacing by saying i love these ideas, honestly. More interactions in dungeons that would go away from the "straight hallway, 2 trash pulls, boss, repeat 2 more times" design paradigm the devs caught themselves in would be glorious. Still:

If the devs made part of a dungeon a puzzle, require actually jumping over a pit, or put traps on the floor like in Hullbreaker Isle? There would be parts of the playerbase that would riot and scream bloody murder. Can you imagine the shitstorm on social media and the forums? lul.
I still remember the "feedback" from pre-nerf Steps of Faith. The fight wasn't even hard...

There will always be people screaming bloody murder over anything. Aren't we screaming over this, after all? To them, we're the same "people will always scream and take from us", just in the opposite direction.
Rather than focusing on who is winning or losing, who is right or wrong, I think placing systems to help these players keep going (the first one to get through a parkour section can throw a rope for the others to climb up, as an example) to prevent these players from getting left behind would be a good compromise. Having Trusts be able to eventually get there, even if they're slow, and action this hypothetical rope to help the player keep going would be perfectly acceptable imo.

I think we would all benefit from a shake up in the game's repetitive design we've been stuck in for a while. I'm so down to be the one carrying my party through a parkour section or rescueing them to the safe spot when needed. We're supposed to be a team!

Again, I don't disagree with the notion. I'm just poking fun at the inevitable crying that would follow were CS3 to put even the slightest sliver of actually having to play the game into this game.
Even your ideas, while honestly good and thought out, would cause some people to yell out. "i feel bad cause i had to click the rope" incoming, you catch my drift?

Yeah, I understand what you mean, but at that point the problem lies in the player rather than the system. If their inferiority complex is triggered by receiving help from a team member, I don't know what to do then...
And I say this when I also get embarrassed if I am clowning a lot and have to get help from a buddy to get back on my feet, or fail mechs, or whatever. But it's up to us to not let it get to us and keep going.

This is more about us (the players) than them. SE used to put side paths and the like into their dungeons (like you mentioned), but what did the playerbase do? Figure out the most efficient path to take - and then always take that path. Pull everything up to a boss and die so they reset, then fight the boss and skip everything. Want the exploration achievement for revealing the whole map when that map includes optional side rooms? Good luck getting a group to go there. We as a community basically told SE we were just going to treat dungeons as the quickest possible path to the goal, so they started designing them accordingly.

The difference is one group screaming bloody murder because they can complete the content but just find it boring. If you add things like jumping puzzles that some people just can't do, they'll be screaming bloody murder because they can't do the content at all. Those two scenarios just aren't the same :\

Yes, but in the end the result is the same. Both get upset at the other side and if they can't get their way, they end up leaving. Which is fair if you can't do the content yourself, but this is a social game and refusing to accept help from your party/friends is something I simply can't wrap my head around...

Why is it always the people who haven't come even close to mastering a job say things like these? Wild.

Everything has been the same for the last few expansion but less. Normal raids are just a list of 12 battle that you run down as you walk into the room to fight each one in turn. I still can't bring myself to finish Pandæmonium. I just do not care about Dufus's next boring ass experiment. Raids use to be an adventure. Dungeons are just fancy hallways between arenas. "Difficulty" is just throwing more !@#$ at you. Yes, it is possible to have a challenge that requires your full attention and still be bored out of your mind. It doesn't feel like things the boss is doing, just things that are happening. There is no sense of place, something you learn a part of basic dungeon/level/map design.

The problem isn't that there are characters people hate. The problem is we are not allowed to hate them. Or decide who we like. Our character's emotions are predetermined by the story with no deviation.

Been playing a character on a trial account. ARR is just better, even though many of the dungeons have been raped of their charms. The Ixal grind is so much more engaging than Yok Huy or any of the past few beast tribes.

I've been doing ARR also on a trial account and it's unironically been more enjoyment than anything I've done for the past 18 months or so, partly due to the fact that some of the limitations actually make it quite creative, and then part because the game back then didn't obsess over trying to flashbang every 30-45 seconds when they try and turn everything into a visual spectacle... But hey, at least it looks nice...

I miss the older beast tribes, and sure it's little things, but between everything else it very quickly mounts up... The amount of systems this game has destroyed or rendered completely and utterly useless is crazy...
