    - Achievement farming is boring. A lot of them are mindless grind, not intuitive, bland, horrible, 30k potsheds ??? and other stupid grinds. Other games have much stronger achievements and fun. There are just couple of them that I find "fun".
    - Deep dungeons are same just reskin and remove debuffs, add another thing.
    - Dungeons same old formula, very boring. Arr dungeons were at least hard and required mechanics to be done.
    - No danger in outer world, nothing.
    - Fates farming is boring, OC is just fates in disguise. Bozja and Eureka as well. But OC is even worse and map looks so bad.
    - Most of other content like "trains" are boring because people follow and kill targets like a mindless husk and that's all they do for the whole day. Sit on discord, see when new pops up, go to farm currency, go afk in limsa and log out. Then wonder what is their life purpose.
    - Jobs extremely awful design, boring, all the same, homogenization, removed of cool things.
    - No housing update yet, housing is still pain to get. Forced sub.
    - PvP is unbalanced mess and devs constantly buff classes that DON'T deserve buff or need. This is where top players will utilize and play meta to get huge points. Frontlines suck, crystaline conflict suck. No tutorial for PVP STILL NO TUTORIAL FOR PVP.

    I could go on and brag. My whole friend list is dark and offline, nobody wants to play anymore.

    Don't forget that they also increased the time inbetween patches a while back.
    After I came back from 7.1 to now and completed the MSQ and Side Quests I can say that the way they do these quests is pure dogshit. Going from literally one cutscene to another is not fun for an MMORPG imo. Especially in that one part that I had to take a motorcycle ride to the quest objective. Now I'm just stuck doing my Beast Tribes and those 4 Duty runs for that aether something for the relic quest.
    If they'd bring more dungeons or add some scaling to the dungeons to increase difficulty I'd be happy with that. I'm not one to do extremes, savage, etc so I don't really care for those but I guess I wouldn't say I'm so casual to just stick with the same thing every day either.

    Literally no matter the piece of content or its variations they all play the same. theyre just slight recolors or new aesthetics but the gameplay is the exact same. it wasn't always like this but the last 2-3 expansions really drove this home
    Considering the way expansion cycles and patch cycles have been stretched to the point of ridiculousness. Nah, it's not helping development speed at all.
    And this is coming from someone who still has fun and enjoys playing. I hate how the length of the content cycle has been stretched out.

    Just accept the game will be reborn into mobile version. The unlocked glam is laying the foundation for a f2p setup using glam as monetization.

    Can those of us that quit at least leave some recommendations other than WoW before leaving? I've 'quit' like 1000's of times and keep crawling back like a dog sitting at 4410 days subbed....it's embarrassing...

    ... The need to go back to older systems. Like, Grand Companies were a perfect example of this, even late into HW they would still pluck items from here, e.g., Arachne Web to craft the Star Velvet gear, sure, it's a 'little thing', but the amount of longevity it would give to it, and the sheer curiosity of how to prepare from one patch to the next. Same thing with Desynthesis.

    Now everything just feels like a complete and utter silo and disconnected, it makes the game and community feel so incredibly tiny. Which is actually quite funny considering how restricted the game used to be versus how it is now, e.g., World Visit.

    As much as I would hope for it to happen, I don't really have much faith in it lol... Just for the simple fact that when you design something for everyone, you end up stripping out a significant amount of charm from those content types in the first place, that you would otherwise get when the content is designed around carving out a very specific audience. What you have now is a lot of content done with the mind of that content being a means to an end, and when you design around this mentality you have content that ends up reaching it's ceiling far, far earlier than it otherwise could when pushing boundaries a little more.

    It works well on paper, but in practice it doesn't really work out too well.. Half of the reason it works for XIV is because they routinely starve out content and drip feed it... That by the time it comes around you have people that are just happy and content getting a fresh coat of paint.

    I get coins from every achievement I farm. I've already bought out everything I could in the 'Achievement Shop' in New Gridania. So why keep grinding for coins I can't spend? Some of them offer titles and mounts, but the grind for them is a big time sink that oft feels like an arbitrary "Now do it -insert high number- times" type of content.

    I've also nearly completed every single gold quest available in the game. I got next to nothing out of them. No noteworthy gil nor exp. A few offer titles again. No mounts, no unique gear. What's their purpose really?

    Sadly, achievement tokens were built on the foundation of being a replacement for the veteran reward system, rather than something actually flushed out with a substantive structure. We've had a small handful of updates in the past 8 years that they've been a thing.

    Sad really, since it's actually something with so much potential... I haven't touched achievements much this expansion at all, but I am sat on 400 certificates, it's crazy.

    You raise a lot of good points. I remember in Heavensward where you needed to have your chocobo companion out to survive some of the enemies that attacked you. Nowadays I don't even need my chocobo, it just kills the enemies faster.

    towards that i would like to add from mine own expirience that certain type of a player is deeply dissapointed with the delay lag we have and nothing in the world will change their mind that the game is good.
    it's unresponsive correclty so it feels goofy.
