I think CT would be perfect for an alliance raid series crossover. Each raid you could visit a different time period and fight bosses from that era. It could even all start similar to the original game with a FFXIV version of the Millennial Fair.

Certainly would be more exciting than NieR.

Chrono Trigger makes a lot of sense as an alliance roulette. I think there's tons of eras worth exploring. Imagine fighting Flea, Slash, and Ozzie.

Magus would be a fun fight. Azala would be a good fight. Queen Zeal would be an amazing fight. Gato would be a funny fight. There's so much potential.

In the UK and Europe (PAL regions) we didn't get Chrono or many great JRPGs until after FFVII. I'll need to play this someday, somehow. Maybe I'll mod my SNES with region free and import it.

It's very cheap on Steam and comes with the bonus content released in later versions. The steam release is the phone version so the UI is clearly indicative of that, but it actually carries over pretty well.

I agree that the Steam version is now the best version. If you heard anyone say it was awful, the original release made it the worst version and now with all of the bug fixes and the expanded content, it's the best version.

Give Chrono Trigger a try, you'll see why it would be so fun to play in FFXIV.
