Can we go back to using tomes to get relics?

The current system is fine IMO. It kinda does suck for people who don't have much time to play but not much you can do about that.

Personally I think they should revamp the system and maybe go about something similar to Guild Wars 2 legendary gear. I'm referring to all the things you do to get items to make your legendary. It helps keep the open world alive.

I want my game I pay a sub for to have some content. Not everything needs to be instant gratification. I'd even go further to say all relics should have been the full grind, instead of 3000 tomes after the first, so that not everyone has every single relic a year down the line. The rewards mean nothing if they are super easy and quick to get, and this is a content where a "casual" player can play a few hours a day and get a weapon in a reasonable amount of time, while still putting in the work for it.

I honestly like how it is at the moment. You do the "grind" for one weapon. Then afterwards it's Tomestone hand in for every other weapon. The Manderville weapons were crazy easy in EW. Bozja in SHB felt consistent but you got locked behind those raids, but the upside was at least those raids would drop stuff 100%. DT's relic is a mix and it's not bad. The only thing I'm dreading is the "you must do X in Occult Crescent" or you can't progress the relic stage.

What would be nice is if it was like SB Eurekan or ShB Bozjan relics but at the end of the expansion there was a vendor who sold the materials for tomes.

On content it's a community grind, different expansion you aren't relying on party finder or external things like discord to get enough people to run content just for glam.

Bozja is particularly egregious for that.
