NPC visual effects of abilities and other features

Bright ground, orange telegraphs, player markers, occasional blinding ability effects from the boss and/or adds that cover everything, plus text in the middle of the screen for a short time. By the time you've read it, you're already lying on the ground, connected to NPC babbling in the background.
It's super exhausting to play in 8+ player content, and the fun is limited.

At some point, your brain just shuts down and that's it.
Serious criticism, please tone it down a bit. It's getting out of hand, like in WoW with WeakAuras, DBM, and the game's own messages.

If you haven't already, go to Settings, Character Configuration, Character Tab at the top of Control Settings, and change the Battle Effect Settings.

I find the most comfy to still be able to read the boss while not losing the game's charm is:
Own - Show All
Party - Show Limited
Others - Show None

If you don't find those settings, there's also commands:
/bfx self all
/bfx party simple
/bfx other off

/bfx enemypc simple

I also suggest lowering your game's brightness settings, or alternatively your monitor or desktop brightness settings, because I have no issues with all this and my brightness isn't high enough for, say, this forum to be blinding.
