Error 2002 - welcome back to ff :(

i honestly thought the days of seeing this screen of death and text was over but for the past few days now and on and off weeks this message of the lobby error 2002 has become increasingly annoying to the point i just waste too much time trying to log in and go play another game on the same pc, after exhausting all options of checking my internet, router, files, clearing files , restarting pc etc etc, and asking loads of people the same questions , The biggest thing that baffles me is that this is an expansion that's a year old (dawntrail) and here i am trying to play final fantasy and i cant even login and we are approaching 2026???? and i can literally go into a game like world of Warcraft with nearly 20 yrs behind it and log on immediately with no issues??? How is this error still even a thing, when SE wondered why everyone left the game a year or two ago and here folks like me are back and here i am no further forward with the same error, this has to be sorted

- Frequency at which error occurs
- Does this only happen to one character or all characters?
- Are there other programs being used when running FFXIV?
- Is a VPN being used when this occurs?
