Clearly people do care that you can't get rewards for a limited-time exclusive thing from times they weren't playing or else it wouldn't be getting addressed and added by the devs after player requests.

And clearly people do care and think that's a negative thing since we are having this discussion in the first place. Again, the blade cuts both ways.
