yes a buddy pass wow i use as my mule and pay for wow like buying reg copyway to ignore that they gave you a second copy for free
and actually the movement speed item was for linking an active XI account,
also you might not understand the concept of exclusive in game items as a bonus,
they are not meant to give you an edge over people that don't have the CE (if done right), its an collectors item, the helmet is an item that is unobtainable by other means, even if purely cosmetic by now,
also guess what we got because of the not finished game?
A full year of free gameplay and regular updates to go with it.
They did more than enough.

its the content in the box in wich im refering to. Do you still have your onion helm? i never even used the code. the gear is/was worthless. If the items in the box are to justify the price then I would say SE overpriced somthing they knew they could sell to loyal followers. If this is how a company treats loyal followers it would build a real incentive to not be soo loyal, at least thats how I would take it. why would i buy a $40 CE when i get the same exact stuff from a $20 basic version or wait 2 months and get it for $10 or less. Where SE has every right to do as they wish, I also have every right to spend my money as I see fit, and its not logical to spend 4x the money on somthing others are getting for 4x less then what you payed. If SE releases a CE edition for 2.0 then the least they could do is give us the online content from that CE, that woud suffice for me, but as there is not talk of that yet, having access to the ACTUAL beta would be fitting for FFXIV's closest followers, not sure how that isnt logical? What exactly did the CE buyers "pay for" that they haven't received? If your complaint is that the game was bad, everyone's in the same boat.
The price for the CE bought us the extra goods that came with the CE package (journal, security token, right of passage certificate/tumbler, Onion Helm code, etc), nothing more. If you were expecting some extra compensation beyond what was in the box, I'm not sure what to tell you.
I too, think Legacy members should get first dibs on beta.
lol!
The only thing I can see being 'illegitimized' by 2.0 from the CE would be the "making of a realm" video. You still have the in game item (not any less useful in 2.0 than it was originally), the journal, the token, and the sweet box
I've read all the replies form you and the OP, and you both sound like entitled crybabies.its the content in the box in wich im refering to. I think I used that Onion Helm once and its been banked for about 2 years now
lol , thumbs up only because the box is kinda cool , only thing , bisdes the journal, that i kept but seriously, no one buys the CE for the extra account lol, If they are gona give us useless gear, at least make it look cool, .... onion helm.... realy? onion helm?
lol, thats awsome, we sound entitled, but you would also like to do the new beta having had invested less? wich sounds more entitled? No one is demanding it but if they were going to prioritize who gets to see 2.0 first, would make sense on a logical stand point to give it to those who have invested more capital and time into the game, I pre requested the CE bought it 2 months before it came out, been playing since, you?
I apologize for the spelling. I wrote my last post using my phone which is not a good way to type out long thoughts as I have now learned. As far as the CE goes and what was "in the box" you got security token, a journal, and behind the scenes DVD. These are all tangible items which will not go away and are yours forever. The security Token will still be usable for 2.0 as well. The game itself was the same regardless of buying the CE or standard version.1) im not gona judge harsh as my spelling isn't great either but spelling is bad even for my standards.
2) they gave EVERYONE that extended free trial , even after you could buy the game at a fraction of the price it was first sold for.
3) you are correct in saying that what we havn't been playing isn't beta, as it isnt even alpha, a great deal of what we play now is going to change , hell , we wont even have the same maps , soo what we are playing now is essentualy irelivant, what you call it is irelivant as it wont exist after 2.0
4) has SE put hard work into this game since release? Absouletly I agree, but you keep ignoring the fact that EVERYONE reeped the rewards , where is the reward for invested intrest into the game that the CE buyers gave? As of right now, there is none, and that special code that gave us two accounts?... news flash you have to pay for each account soo it wasnt exactly free now was it.
Dont get me wrong , I agree that the game has made strides of improvement since release, but your dilusional if you honestly belive those who payed double the release price for CE got what they payed for. If we were to compair what everyone got, the CE buyers basicly payed double for nothing.
I could see it being a nice gesture for them to come up with a new "in game" item to give CE buyers but as far as Beta goes anyone who started playing at 1.0 launch has invested just as much time in this game as CE players and the items you get to keep forever justify the extra cost for CE.
