People who bought CE copies still demanding special perks two years after the fact make me LOL.
(I bought a CE on release day too, but let's be realistic here.)

I bought the Collectors Edition and did not quit the game, be more carefull when making general statements. You bought the game at a fraction of the price , in wich i salute you for. But I bought the games Collectors Edition when it first came out because I enjoyed XI soo much I expected the same kind of performance and was willing to invest a little more if it meant some sort of dividen for my investment, the token and special notebook ,although kinda cool, is not worth $40, much less the special edition DvD that showed us how they developed the failed version... soo yeah, if they let the buyers of the Special Eddition see new content first, I think that would be fitting, ESPECIALY if we havent quit the game since release.
Heres my opinion on this
Legacy members should be able to get into the beta. but not with their main character, the should have to create a new character and start as lvl 1
keep in mind those legacy players that do get in any progress gained during beta will not be kept after beta
and also participation in testing should be limited those better qualified and also based on how well they assisted during the alpha/beta stages of ffxiv 1
Firstly, i bought the CE back at launch when it was 70€ but comeon that's kinda greedy and completely disrespectful to all the devs work in 1.0 isn't it?
You got your ingame item, a buddy pass that counts as a full copy of the game for a friend AND physical collectables out of your CE, that's more than enough!
Also we did pay for a complete game so we can argue all night long but my question was there anything to it If we get in to beta or not its up to SE all i wanted to know if we would be getting in. im not demanding or arguing the fact just want to know the info if they say no then no ill wait and pay in 2.0 just hat simple .Firstly, i bought the CE back at launch when it was 70€ but comeon that's kinda greedy and completely disrespectful to all the devs work in 1.0 isn't it?

If that's your definition of beta then 2.0 will be beta too. People will still give feedback; adjustments to the game will still be made. Its the way game development goes now, especially with online titles.
As a C.E. owner, I remember getting to play one week before everyone else.
way to ignore that they gave you a second copy for freeAlso we did pay for a complete game so we can argue all night long but my question was there anything to it If we get in to beta or not its up to SE all i wanted to know if we would be getting in. im not demanding or arguing the fact just want to know the info if they say no then no ill wait and pay in 2.0 just hat simple .

and actually the movement speed item was for linking an active XI account,
also you might not understand the concept of exclusive in game items as a bonus,
they are not meant to give you an edge over people that don't have the CE (if done right), its an collectors item, the helmet is an item that is unobtainable by other means, even if purely cosmetic by now,
also guess what we got because of the not finished game?
A full year of free gameplay and regular updates to go with it.
They did more than enough.
