Well you only need to stress test one server. So we are looking at around 5k players for the alpha. No need to stress test 10 servers at the same time.

I am sort of expecting the alpha beta process of 2.arrr to be the same as what we went through with 1.xx. Except with out the feeling of being mostly ignored.

Alpha is only going to be in the shroud area that they showed at Gamescom. The following beta i believe is for everyone especially when they shut down the ffxiv servers. I dont think they will make us go without our ffxiv fix for a month or so w/o atleast letting us run around in beta while waiting for data transfer.

As far as special treatment? I think we probably will not get anything extra nor should we. I bought the CE just like most everyone else but I must admit I am a bit selfish when it comes to this game. I kinda approach it with an "if I like it I dont care who doesnt attitude." The point being if I like the game then there are bound to be others that like it too.

Everyone should be allowed into beta so we can all enjoy the new game together period.

Sounds like the 1.X alpha where you could only play in LL.

I am sure they will work fast as possible to get all current players into the beta. Yoshi said it was a focus.

Many purchased a game and expect to be able to play it. Many of us poured cash in to suppor tthem and should be able to contineu to play with minimal interuption.

PS3 players waited mainly because of the hardware limitations and the current engine was just to much for the memory design (not made for mmo's).

Yet they haven't already paid for the game, shouldn't get priority to play for those who purchased the product already, and have paid monthly. Even tho testing on that version is well needed.
