Heres my opinion on this

Legacy members should be able to get into the beta. but not with their main character, the should have to create a new character and start as lvl 1

keep in mind those legacy players that do get in any progress gained during beta will not be kept after beta

and also participation in testing should be limited those better qualified and also based on how well they assisted during the alpha/beta stages of ffxiv 1

Kinda like the test server for XI.
And CE or Legacy shouldn't matter. Loyalty and time played should be more important.
I've only been back for around 4 months after a 12 month lay-off. Just because i'm a Legacy player doesn't mean i should get a slot over someone that has played since release.

Loyalty/time played does not equal qualified. It should be handled like any other beta. getting in should primarily be determined by your hardware specs (for hardware compatibilty testing of new engine), experience doing betas (to help find bugs and provide feedback on usability etc.), and time zone (you want people from each region to even out server load times)


Anyway,

I think people who purchased the CE should get some sort of extra vanity piece. We originally got the onion helm. how about an onion helm for our chocobos? or onion knight themed barding?

I agree that CE/legacy should be less important when deciding who gets in to beta. I personally have both. If i get in the beta i think it should be because of my experience beta testing, my knowledge of hardware, and ability to troubleshoot. not because i have CE & legacy.

What i would like to know is

1) when the game relaunches will a CE be available for purchase?
2) will the in-game incentives in this CE be the same as 1.0 CEs
3) will there be pre-order bonuses? and will these be the same as the 1.0 pre-order bonuses?
