Seasonal Events need Mini games

i had played for a bout 11 years ... i seen fun events to boring ones ... sure there are other other things to do in the game ... but sometimes ppl want a an actual break (while being in game) you can only do so much at the gold saucer among other afk-able things ... but with the mini games during holidays where ppl are so worn-out of the norm and gives reason to take a breather ...
if you, irl, work day-in, day-out ... days blur into eachother ... the only way you'll notice the change of season is something that pops out ... a shock enough to encourage you to look around and breath ...
... from what i can tell events in games need only truly need 2 things ... Decorations and Event only mini games ... considering this is a final fantasy game a simple story will do (dosent have to be AWE inspiring just straight to the point) ...
as for my experiences there are already been mini games introduced within the game ... when those were active the event areas were populated... groups forming parties or just ppl passing through ... what i dont understand is if it had already been in the game just let it be a simple thing to do with friends, random ppl ... anyone

  Valentione's Day: has the Maze and the Fortune tellers
  Little Ladies' Day: did more interactive Idol stuff
  Hatching-tide: had that gather chase in the special area
  Moonfire Faire: kept its identity for the most part with famed Tower
  The Rising: had its mini games moved to the toy box
  All Saints' Wake: had an instance activity that you hide and seek to collect items
  Starlight Celebration: had a choir rhythm game

Seasonal events needs, first and foremost, reward pool that includes all previous rewards from previous events. Without mog station.

Season events should have catchup gear. Something like -5 from tome with 2 materia slotted in.
The state of casual gear is pretty bad, asking friends to do the new alliance raid when their best job is level 100 with neo-kingdom and lunar envoys gear with no material or something... Yes, I make them crafted gear but I can't save everybody.
events are like perfect hooks for casual players to catch up...

That is to say, it could be one thing to spend with currency. There could also be various cosmetics, even those from previous events. You could earn the currency from content or a minigame and/or event dungeon/fate.

Oh, and since there'd be more to earn, the season events could run twice as long, for a month. 2 weeks is very short!

Lord forbids that square puts previous event items back for free, nah you have to pay for them. It creates FOMO effect very nicely. All they can do is create 1 quest where you just afk-talk / skip and get meager reward. Meanwhile the best reward or "what was supposed to be for event" is gone to a mog station because they realized that whales will pay for it regardless and are easily fooled.

There are also 2 people that support this behavior; "Hey, we are getting something at least. I'll eat every bread crumb I can get. You are just ungrateful. <goes to buy mog station item>"; "I prefer having these fast 1 minute quests, i cba doing anything in this game. I rather sit afk in limsa for hours".

He will only care if it is a matter that would impact mogstation sales.
