Doesn't this put Savage on the week of the 23rd? Are Devs really going to release a major piece of end game content on the holidays, again? This is definitely something that will cause some backlash because of how busy that time of year is. I am a fairly casual savage raider and even I can see how many people could potentially be unhappy with this in the World Race crowd.

If I were Yoshi-P I would push 7.4 to either release 1-2 weeks prior, or delay savage by 1 week so that it falls on the week of New Year's. it's still kind of crappy to have it drop mid holiday, but better New Year's than two days before Christmas.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

Christmas is not as important as New Year Eve in Japan, heck Christmas is basically their Valentine's day.
It's a Japanese game first and foremost.

No. A lot of people are away from their computers visiting family that time of year. My static can't start until Jan because one of ours is literally out of the county.

it depends on who you ask because a large chunk of the playerbase (mainly NA) travel to spend the holidays with family and don't have access to the game. this could potentially disrupt the world first race, which is why i think some people will be pretty unhappy about it. I've never participated in world first, so it's not an issue to me, but the race is a pretty huge community event, one that is endorsed by the company.

Since when does the Christmas holiday mean everyone is suddenly glued to their families? Like get real. You may spend a day or two, but who is legit spending a week or more?

As far as I know, Japanese people visit KFC around Christmas, and that's basically their entire celebration of the holiday. It means little to them, so I could see it.
