The Expert and Level cap dungeons are okay, because it's a light activity to do so you just don't get rusty with your jobs. I wish we could have a level capped version of all current expansion dungeons in a pool, though (something would need to be done with the drops).

The rest of the roulettes... I honestly avoid them. Not only the level 50 content that we get constantly is mindless mechanic wise, but the biggest aggravator is the leveled down rotations. It just won't do, and above all, it messes a bit with my muscle memory if I do it too much.

But regardless you can log in, talk to your friends and maybe do a bit of crafting and still say that daily’s are pretty bad these days
Yeah, but I've dropped games and MMO for less. However, I still login and like FFXIV, even talk about it with others, and some days I skip dailies.

It's easier to accept how that FFXIV is no longer for me then quit than say if I keep subbing every month so I can complain on the paid forums where SE will continue to ignore me and cost $13 too. The main exceptions being the dedicated troll accounts and Titanman alts and his fans.

I don't really do daily stuff much anymore, but when I do, it's usually the roulettes that have more dungeons/trials in them that I do enjoy. I remember back in HW days I did Neverreap like there was no tomorrow. Now with how little I engage with roulettes themselves, I haven't gone through that dungeon in what feels like years, so seeing it pop up is actually kind of refreshing. I don't have a whole lot of issues with roulettes but I do have to say I find it extremely boring that the selection of dungeons is so, so limited in the expert roulette.

And if u don’t know what to do simply follow one companion.

I get that there are different players and “level of skills” but I think most of the “I can’t do it” is just a misinterpretation of “I just don’t want to find a solution that works”.

    Anyways to each their own.
Or I can just avoid content that's outside my skill level and only do the stuff that offers unsync or Trusts.

I lose nothing by staying out of other people's queues and content so they don't have to worry about dead weight, while I also get to avoid hostile players (because goodness knows Dawntrail brought out the worst in this community). I main DPS anyway, so it's not like any of them would be left waiting very long to get a better person to do their roulettes or PFs with instead. It's pretty much win-win for everyone involved.

Don't do it because there's no point to unless you need player's recommendation so you can be a mentor. Otherwise there's no point in doing this. I only have to spam it now for the relic grind but after that is done it will again be dead for me. It's painful, boring and don't want to bother with it.

As for mentor roulette, this is just a different name for "you are queuing for things that lack people" so you regularly get into random extremes that nobody wants to do and some people sit in queue for 2 hours. Yeah, it is used as a filler thing. This has nothing to do with mentors.

Doing roulettes in ARR - StB was more engaging than most of the max level normal content we have today because the base combat just had a lot more meat to it.
Then they removed half those systems and nerfed all the old content into oblivion with the stat squish.
Then they extended the free trial which vastly increased the chances you get a low level duty.
And now three expansions of skill pruning and potency creep later what's supposed to be the core casual endgame activity basically amounts to unpaid babysitting.
