Sudden and Persistent Boot Error & Unable to Download

    Hello!

I am stuck and need some help. After the emergency patch I have had a sudden error I am unable to resolve to play the game. I was able to login for a short period this morning but all last night and all during the day I have not been able to. Here are the steps I've tried.

    1. Clearing DNS
    2. Whitelisting FFXIV
    3. Restarting Computer & Router multiple times
    4. Running as admin
    5. Reinstalling Microsoft edge
    6. Deleting the patch folder to attempt to force re-patch.
    7. Attempting to reinstall the game itself.

I have over 300gb of space so it's not a space issue either. Further, my wife's account on a separate computer, is exhibiting the same issue. But she has taken none of the above steps.

Now after the reinstall I can't complete the reinstall because it won't let me get through.

I have screenshots of the two errors. If I get through past the first error: (30605)(10009)(10020) then when I log in (or in this case try to reinstall) I get (11003)(10009)(10020).

    Please help!

I'm also having this issue after the emergency patch. This seems to happen every time I data center transfer. I dc, then my launcher doesn't load properly or I can't log in anymore. I'm on a wired connection ATT fiber. No other programs running except my browser with twitch streams open. I've tried restarting computer restarting router. Everything seems to work except my 14. All the sites are fine but squareenix/14 pages load a bit weird.

"Version check failed. Please confirm your network settings. If this does not solve the problem, you may need to whitelist FINAL FANTASY XIV in your security software."
    [30605][10009][10020]

Attempting to reload launcher gives me "A system error has occurred: 13. HostNameNotResolved"

"launcher.finalfantasyxiv.com's server IP address could not be found. Try: checking the connection - chceking the proxy, firewall, and dns settings"

I'm getting the same thing. Sometimes the launcher seems to make a connection, but then the launch screen itself does not always load or has a long delay loading. Once I am in the game it seems to run fine. This is specifically an issue with the launcher.

EDIT: I was able to resolve the issue by changing my Wi-Fi DNS server assignment from Automatic to Manual (using Cloudfare, 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1). Windows 11, AT&T Fiber

Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

We apologize for any inconvenience experienced when trying to play Final Fantasy XIV. Please try the following troubleshooting suggestions:

Open the control panel of the PC and go to ‘Network and Internet’. Once there select ‘Internet Options’
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"
*Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game.

    - Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.
    - We suggest to power cycle the device and router by shutting down the Router and leaving the power supply unplugged for 30 mins. to an hour.

    - Flush DNS: Within the "Command Prompt" of the device, please type the command "ipconfig /flushdns".
    - Reset TCP/IP: Also within the Command Prompt, type the command "netsh int ip reset" and then restart the computer.
    - Change local DNS: Please try changing the local DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
    - Lastly, after changing the DNS settings, please try switching Data Centers once more then switch back to your original Data Center.

For the version check/update error, please try the below:
    - Delete the Patch Folder: Navigate to the folder using this path: This PC > Docs > My Games> FFXIV ARR > Downloads > FFXIV patch
Then either rename or remove the folder, the next time FINAL FANTASY XIV is launched, the client will repair the folder.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV.
