Hall of Novice - not dropping gear

I have an alt (many, actually), and I love the Hall of Novice Tank gear.
I did Hall of Novice on her arcanist first, then I went and leveled marauder and cranked through Hall of Novice as soon as I could. Sped through them because I wanted that gear as a glam.

It wasn't until I finished all the "quests" that I realize, I never got my Brand-New Gauntlets.

So, I send in a support ticket.
Back and forth for a few days, because they apparently don't even know the name of the "hands" gear, nor the quest it drops from. So, I googled all the info that Square apparently doesn't have, filled out their request, reiterated the story that I had done arcanist, then, about a week later, did marauder: literally entered, did the quest, exited, flagged and did the next one without a break. It takes what, fifteen minutes? Anyway, no gauntlets.

Real life work is busy, so I finally log in today and get the "It's working as intended" reply.

I have done this on multiple alts. I have gotten all pieces every time (except the Brand-new Ring as that's equippable by all classes). This one, nope, no hands. There's no way to redo the quest, when I try, I get the message "Unlocked upon progressing deeper into the main scenario", which I take to mean that I have to level up, finish MSQ, and then HOPE, it will let me do the very first quest of the Hall of Novice and HOPE that I get my glam gauntlets.

I mean, seriously, they can't just send me a pair of gauntlets?

What level is your alt's MRD? According to this page, the Brand New Gauntlets are awarded for completing the level 15 Training quest 'Avoid AoE Attacks' - if your MRD is not this level yet, then you can't unlock the quest til then. It makes sense if there is also a main scenario requirement because the level 15 MSQ introduces you to running dungeons for the very first time and, well, some of the first dungeon boss mechanics are AoE attacks.

As always, this game everything is connected to the main scenario (really, the gauntlets are not unique either, there is at least several sets later in the game that also share that model, the Wolfram Gauntlets of Fending being an example, and they're dyeable), so if you're just wanting it for glamour, then it's not really a big deal? Either way, do the main scenario and then try the training regime again and hopefully it should work next time.
