Begging for an arachnophobia filter

Hello! It breaks my heart to read your struggle. I really wish the game had a native filter for all the creepy critters... I am in full support of this, even if I don't need it myself.

Look, we're not allowed to talk about this publicly, but I'll risk it... There's an arachnophobia filter mod that you can find extremely easily if you just Google it (it was the first or second result for me).
You'd have to buy a PC license for the game (and a computer to play in, obviously...) and set up the actual programs needed for it to run, but it is there if you can possibly make it work.

I know it is not easy to get your hands on an entire PC setup and a new license to boot, but depending on your country and area you may find some fairly decent deals on PCs that don't quite run the new stuff super smooth but should suffice for your roulette needs. You also can still use your controller and TV as a monitor, so don't worry about getting a "full" setup. The PC itself without any extra bells and whistles should get the job done. You can also wait to get the license during a sale to save some bucks.
I really wish you the best and I hope they chill out with the leggy enemies in future content!

Thanks I appreciate the support. Sadly a pc isn’t an option for me. Even a cheap one.

Would be nice tho for square to look at these available mods and see if they could implement some of them like the one I’m asking for.

The word is Sqounk which when written or said I don’t have the same reaction as although it’s now associated with my phobia my immediate thought is actually about the B rank in sea of clouds. That’s why the code word works. It was a friend that came up with it for me.

The friend that was annoying me with the sweep emote, I don’t think they really realised that it was triggering me so bad as we were all messing about in vc when it happened. But it’s best I just keep sound effects low or off completely as you do often see people in Roos while waiting may use it.

That must be awful for you on patch days. Least they have done something to help sort of, but you do still need to be next to the NPC so it can’t be easy getting to them.

To answer if you could get rid of the weeping city one and the ones that might be on higher floors in the new DD that would be great

Bumping thread so it’s not forgotten. It maybe a pipe dream but I really need to keep the fight for this going.

Psammead are the ones that are found in Il’Mheg and it’s a bigger one of this in weeping city and similar in fell court. It’s the spinner types in places like the fringes and in dungeons like The Skydeep Cenote are where my personal issues lie. The Psammead types is why I suggest the Belladonna / witchweed type enemies as a filter as they are similar. I don’t overly like those enemy types but can at least deal with them better.

Least for now 7.4 is looking like it’s safe tho I’m not fully confident that the dungeon is rn.

I've also got pretty bad arachnophobia and would love this. It's never been completely debilitating in game, but I definitely need to point the camera in strategic ways when navigating Il Mheg and some dungeons. It's kept me from finishing games like the Resident Evil 3 Remake, so I absolutely understand why this could be needed. It'd be a welcome addition.

This right here is really the best and most viable solution. Hopefully SE puts in a toggle, so OP and those with OP's condition can enjoy the game like everyone else.
