Honestly for Weeping City I'd tell them why, then try to not look at the screen and determine when the fight ends. It's up to the healers if they actually want to keep you alive. Maybe try to move the camera so it views you close up in a corner so you can see the chat only, so you can keep an eye on it (I have no idea if your phobia also includes the sound as well)
Also tbh, all the dungeons that have them I'd just leave if they come up. Only thing you will have issues with is the DD, but I'd just be honest with the people you are playing with on that one.

You could leave the instance and abandon duty. It's not a big issue.

Do filters like what MH Wilds has work? Wonder if they could implement something like that.

The one in MH Wilds only does the small ones and turns them into green slimes, which is better than nothing - but unfortunately it doesn't apply to the bigger things that are close to spider-like.
I liked the one in Mabinogi where they gave you an incense item that would turn most basic spider enemies into giant teddy bears.

It’s not just those listed the new deep dungeon supposedly has them. So I’m locked out of that effectively. Which is really sad as I like achievements and mounts.

Arachnophobia filters are becoming more common in games because of how common it is as a phobia.
I don't see any reason against it. It's just a toggle to switch models, right? I think having a few enemies and concepts that freak me out is good for immersion and horror but I also don't suffer from any phobia that put me into fight/ flight/freeze at the sight of it.

clearly haven’t read the og post. If I could use a mod only for this I would but I’m a PlayStation 5 player with not option to move to pc.

Yeah it’s a long shot in asking but as I’ve previously mentioned don’t ask don’t get still might not get but the idea is out there.
