Begging for an arachnophobia filter

I have been playing for a while now and I only play on PlayStation. However I have an extremely bad phobia of spiders (usually I can’t say the word but it’s not gonna make sense if I use the code word here). And as such I play strictly vanilla. If I had the option for mods in this case I would. My phobia is so bad I will ask my fc in advance to warn me about dungeons or areas etc in game that they may appear. The worse is of course weeping city and fell court. The other 2 dungeons that I know they are in off the top of my head I can deal with as I will explain bad DPS until after that part for example. I can’t play tank or healer in these situations cause I could end up in a situation where my phobia cripples me. I will get kicked from stuff like the weeping city because it just takes over and I usually I am shaking either at the entrance of the boss or I’ve been kicked. I pray I am allowed to die and return when I end up in these situations. It’s taken as long as I have to do a forum as I’ve had so much issues getting onto the forums in the first place. But now being locked out of the deep dungeon I am finally reaching out to beg for a filter, even if the filter turn them into the belladonna type plant things as although creepy they more resemble plants and I can deal with them more. The smaller ones could have suggestions as I’m not sure about the rigging but a crab might work.

This is a ramble but if the devs have been able to change the sage logo for those with trypophobia then why can’t those of us especially that play on console get a arachnophobia filter. It would give me the full love of this game back. Please help this reach the devs so I can enjoy it without fear.

tbh I wouldn't mind them adding crabs to replace the spider bosses and mods too. I think it would be funnier.

I honestly can't think of any spiders in the game. Yarzons, are close, maybe.

There is plenty of them. The weeping city’s first boss is the main one. Those may have a ‘human’ attached but they are close to them that trigger me. I know in Il’Mheg there’s them behind the pixies area. There’s spinners in the fringes I know that cause I accidentally ran into them as a baby sprout and ran screaming.

If you have any inclination to exposure therapy, I recommend the r/jumpingspiders subreddit – this specific group of spiders is surprisingly cute and harmless and most of the posts are from people keeping them as pets.

Exposure therapy sadly won’t work for me. I wish it would. I’ve even looked into hypnotherapy but it’s to costly. Sadly playing ffxvi made it even worse when I was jumped scared by one. Sadly it’s a deep routed. It’s why I will hide in weeping city behind a blanket and hope I die looking out of the arena and then I can respawn. And besides that boss and the first mobs of weeping city I actually really like that alliance raid so it would be really nice to have a filter so I can enjoy it fully
