Drop the PoTD req

I've been trying to get these floors done on just ONE alt for weeks now, and no one queues. I'm in queue for over an hour to get floor 21-30. Nothing in PF. People are not doing this content, and it's blocking people from being able to do something new, because they didn't do content added in 3.35. I'm fine with there being a pre-req, but this isn't it.

Why not solo it? Or ask some friends?
I’m honestly confused about how playing the game has become an issue here.

You’re asking for the Palace of the Dead requirement to be dropped so you can jump straight into another Deep Dungeon. You do realize they’re all built on the same foundation, right? So essentially, you want the devs to make an exception so you can skip Palace only to turn around and probably quit halfway through Pilgrim’s Traverse, too? It won't get any easier, you know. Potd is a small ask.

Be honest, Do you really think if the Requirement was lifted, that Pilgrims Traverse would be any different? You’ll ace through all 100 floors in an evening? Of course you wouldn't!
Just look at your progress, and you're already looking for an exit. No, I'm sorry, this is simply whining.

After you clear (And you will clear I don't doubt it if you try) reaching floor 50 the requirement will mean absolutely nothing to you, it will be forgotten from your memory - barely an inconvenience as it was for literally everybody who came before.

And for the record, This isn't some secret that only the legacy players knew about and was kept secret from you, not everybody who has done Potd was even around back then in 3.35, or did it when it was current. I certainly didn't, and I'm not the only one. But eventually, everyone has sat down and done Potd they were doing it in 4.0, 5.0, and 6.0 - and quite frankly now it's the most approachable its ever been.

What is stopping you that stopped no one before? Deep down, you know the problem isn’t the requirement. You just need to believe you can do it.
Of course, the system will appear unfair to you when you're starting from the bottom. Just clear Potd.
I know my tone in this has been harsh but you can do it. You will.

My earliest memories of Potd is actually being level 30 sprout back in heavensward doing it for the first time with the person who introduced me to the game. (Because I was told it was a fast way to level) As we got to the higher floors floor 40 I started getting spells I wasn't familiar with and didn't know what I was doing. We wiped. I just wanted to have fun with my friend. And a moment stuck with me because the person who introduced me to the game told me "It's not about having fun... you're just bad at the game"
That still hits the core of me and how I approach the game even now, everything I do in a sense is to prove I'm a good player. What it means to be a Good player that's what has driven me so far. I'm still not there yet. But don't think for a second you can't do this or that it's impossible. Whether if it's with a friend or yourself you can do this.

I know what it’s like to struggle, but you can still do it — I did. PT will be waiting for you.

If you're not against coming to OCE and tolerating the higher ping for a little while, I can get a couple of friends and we can get it done with you. Everyone's really busy right now in my group, but we can make it work on a weekend in about a week or two, maybe earlier if I ask some other people, but I won't be there this weekend or the next.

Id be happy to help u on crystal next week!( working overnights this week T_T) I have max aetherpool so i could help u cheese most of it. I solod 1-50 as rdm stocked with echo drops and sustaining potions. A tactic i used was maygi's guide on potd enemies n bosses, spammed floors 1-30 to build up aetherpool decent enough and bought the sust pots to continue. Hug the wall to avoid traps and grab all treasure chests for the buffs. Im sure people will start posting on pf this week too now that ppl are logging in for patch..

At least until yesterday it wasn't that easy to get through PotD solo. I think I spent (only) somewhat between 15 and 20 hours so far. My best progress until then was floor 30 where I failed to defeat the boss. When you found a silver chest and thought you finally get a bit stronger, most of the time you got the message that the Aetherpool didn't increase. And because you had to defeat the boss in order to save the Aetherpool gained through that 10 floors I had to start again from floor 1 in hope the Aetherpool will increase in floors 11 to 20.

I will probably try it again with the recent changes in the near future.

Whether or not that's it's accessible solo or not (frankly, for a brand new player with 0 aetherpool and no deep dungeon knowledge at all, I doubt it is, and it's gonna take a lot of time to get there), the fact remains that this requirement is dumb and makes zero sense.

The aetherpool has a coin flip chance to gain if ur ap is greater than the floorset.. so if ur on floor 30 with about 30ap armor then you have a chance it won't increase.. theboss is a guarantee increase.. which is why ppl are encouraged to go on higher floors

This is one of those requirements where I don’t really see a purpose

You can argue that POTD 1-50 was a good “tutorial” for HOH when HOH was current in SB because HOH doesn’t really have a tutorial but pilgrims especially feels like it could easily be your first deep dungeon and it wouldn’t really be that much of a concern

While sure people can argue the point of the requirement they can't make it much easier than that to actually do it. People have it so much easier now with the sustaining potion drops and aetherpool changes and people "still" complain.

They didn't change it for HoH. They didn't change it for Orthos. They did not change it for Pilgrim. Why are people still acting surprised? Just go and get it done and you won't have to deal with potd again regardless of future dungeons. If you don't want to do PoTD I wager you probably weren't interested in Pilgrims.
