And it's never going to be open world again, the closest you're going to see is the large zones begun with HW. They tried open world in 1.0 and well, we all know how that turned out. Big open expanses of nothing.
I don't care even if it's "nothing". It's way more immersive to actually travel around the map and explore it rather than just teleporting from one Aetheryte to another. Current map design isn't any better than 1.0. I don't even remember most areas, because what I always do is I tp to the Aetheryte, fly on my mount, hit auto run and alt+tab. There must be obstacles that you have to fly around, enemies that can kill you if you're not paying attenton, meaningful points of interest. Things like that. And there must be no invisible walls.

    It breaks immersion.

There are plenty of games where this didnt break immersion at all. As long as it makes sense and the loading doesnt take too long.

What they do is save you the 'long travel time' effort to move between the zones. Something they already wanted to cover by using a dungeon as its transition (which isnt bad for this at all).

Loading screens enable far more area variety, because you dont have to worry about its transition taking place. It wouldnt make any sense to have an ice area, and a warm area close together, and a 30s tunnel to transition between these is still going to feel awkward. It would need a far longer tunnel for this, which then becomes a dull transition as its just a very long uninterested walk. They already did use this method in DT, but that was more about height diffirence rather than climate.

When loading screens compress an activity that otherwise would take more time, the loading screen is justified to be there. Thats not immersion breaking, long dull walks without progression are.

I can understand why some might want an open world; but I would rather have a sectioned off map that's more interesting to explore. An open world that's completely barren or empty just takes some of the issues some of the current maps in 14 have and just enlarges the scale of the issue. It may actually make those problems worse because if there are huge swathes of an open world map that are just field or dirt with no real interesting landmarks, events, or locations I feel like it would just feel hollow. Two things I would love to see are more involved fates and more incentives to actually go out into the open world. An option to sync levels down to the lowest of the party would be nice too. I have a friend who's looking to try the game for the first time and while I'm looking forward to going through the game with them on an alt, I wish that I could sync my main down to their level without being a max level player that just deletes whatever they're fighting. I know you can do this for fates so I don't think it would be too difficult to say match your level to the highest level non special mob in the zone or something.

I do agree with some of your points about jobs and job quests. I like some of the new role quests but I feel like the lack of a story line tied to each job diminishes the importance of that job to the games world. I would prefer for there to be a focus on making each job as enjoyable to play as possible and adding more in depth quests and lore for the already existing jobs than adding a new shiny thing to the lineup. In terms of gameplay, = I used to enjoy playing pre ew summoner, and while I understand the pet jank was a problem the gameplay and rotation of the job prior to the rework was much more fun for me personally. I'm sure the points been made a million times by now, I think that retroactively making summoners rotation easier was not the move. I don't mind some jobs being simpler to play, but I wish that there was also room for more experimental or complex job design too. I don't know if skill trees are the way to do that (I'm no game designer just someone with opinions on the internet), but I agree that the current formula should change.

Blue Log entries, one mount and a handful of titles are not "99% of the content"

You can't convince me that Blue Mage was a good addition to the game as a limited job, it should have been a normal Job, they could make it work but decided to take the laziest approach of locking them out of all the content in the name of balance, as always no fun allowed. spitting on the face that people that love the job, like me.

Blue Mage shows all the potential of depth the game can have with the classes, and how the devs are able to do it, but once again we lose the fun in the name of balance and dull gameplay where every job needs to be the same for some reason that i don't understand.

Well i do, because it's easier to do, and cheaper.

Blue Mage would have worked best in a game without the trinity. Since we have the trinity system, BM will always be stiffled.

I actually kinda wants the skill sync not to happen. I want ultimate's dps check to be utterly destroyed on next expansion. That will surely encourage more people to try out content

We need our skills when synced, but not at the expense of things dying faster. They're separate issues that need addressing.
