Would you want that? once players are receptive to it, they are going to keep pushing it. And I like my subscription keeping La-carte "upgrade purchases" off the table.

Technically already exists in retainer upgrades (flat cost and/or companion app which includes expanded saddlebag). Housing expansion for $ doesn't seem far fetched or implausible at all in that regard. Do I want it to be paid, hell no, but with how abysmal item storage, collections, etc is and the only expansion options are paid I wouldn't be surprised if they went that route either.

Kind of true , unless you're willing to forgo the fc for a personal extended storage shell fc. Or have a dedicated shell fc banker character. And use that to mule the extra items over to that characters fc bank. It's a extra step but its a workaround for needing extra retainers

The "rumors" were in fact advertised as one fo the great things to come in Dawntrail. Given the state of everything in this expac we'll be lucky if we get a 5 itmem slot increase in 8.0 lmao

Where's my Ultima Thule housing zone? Can even have a cameo appearance by the Space Core.

But yeah as a large owner (who uses few if any real glitches) even I cannot be super detailed in decorations because this is leaving me with <50 items for the basement, which isn't tiny.

The item limit is too low, upgrading to a mansion is a density loss when it comes to filling out the plot.

I second this, for too long especially mansions has been limited for full purpose, Medium house a bit too and an addition to cottage and Apartment would be nice as well.

Item Limit increases are confirmed for Patch 7.5.

There was a discussion during the Live letter where Yoshi basically said some server side infrastructure optimization is needed to be able to handle the load of the new limits as well as the Housing Interior upgrade system.


Both systems are finished on a code level, they just need to do the infrastructure stuff.




Yoshi said they're going for 1.5x the current amount of items.


For people who aren't good with Maths - This is 50% more item limit for both indoors and outdoors.

We'll take what they give to us, even if I was hoping for more that 50%. A full expansion of wait for this. Better than nothing I guess.
At least they gave an explanation this time instead of the usual "not ready yet".
